Sinemet- Balance problems

Doctor prescribed Sinemet for stiffness and slight tremor symptoms. After 2 months I have begun to experience balance problems. Not sure if this was reaction to Sinemet.

Anybody with similar experience ?

My balance issues were huge and frustrating from PD. Sinemet has helped but not yet eliminated it totally..but I am on a tiny dosage. Take care.

Dont quote me, but i think balance problems are pd, not sinamet reaction.

My neuro asks me often if l have fallen over yet? Havent, maybe try to undertake some balance excercises. like standing on one foot, if you can, then if you can manage that stand on one foot and close your eyes. Thats what l have been told to do

I think too much sinemet can make the balance problems worse. Yesterday I increased my sinemet dosage as recommended by my MD and had a significant increase in balance problems. Today I will reduce it and may even try to eliminate sinemet completely. I will also start the balancing exercises as recommended.

Good luck, l think a major key to having and coping with pd, is to find what ever the symtom is, and then trying to find a complimentary excercise. Excercise is very necessary. Also believing , feeling postive, refusing to have pd, also works wonders.

Went to Neurologist who lessened my Sinemet dose. Still dizzy today but not as intense. Is this something I will have to live with. Any specific exercises helpful ?
