To be quite truthful I'm just worn out now. The hour by hour battle with every little storm cloud that passes by takes a toll. SO thankful I took AMantadine the first few years, then in tandem with S i n e m e t but in time the ankle swelling and a bit of what I think was Afib convinced me to stop the Amantadine. 15 months of pretty good relief was surely worth it and I've thought of trying it again.
Thank you to all who share their experiences, especially with meds. It's helped me to know for sure how I wanted to do things and I have no regrets. I'd never have made it without ancient herbs used for PD a l o n g time ago...
The best to each and every one.

I'm in the early stages of PD. My Nero thinks I've had it for a couple years now, but never knew what it was till last year. He started me on Sinemet about 9 months ago. For the first couple of weeks the side effects for me were really bad because of other meds I take. In fact, so bad that I stopped taking it. In hindsight that was a mistake, but I thought I was doing the right thing at the time.
My Nero gave me hell, and put me back on it. Long story short, after fighting through the side effects for a few weeks, everything started calming down as my body got used to the meds. Now the Sinemet is working very well for me. I do still suffer from weak legs, shuffling and mussel cramping, but I'm so thankful that it has pretty much stopped the tremors.
