I live in Chgo area and one of the big hospitals here (Rush) is starting a study on the affects of vibration on PD... they are saying that sitting in this intense vibrating chair for 30 mins a day decreases PD symptoms... I have never taken part in a medical study and wondered if any of you have... I am interested in this particular one and they say they need PD people to sin in their chair for 30 mins a day every day (but i didn't catch for how long) I'm thinking there has to be more too it and i guess it wouldn't hurt to go check it out... What do you all think???

I say, sounds intresting. Check it out and get all the info so you can make a decision. You have nothing to loose and maybe something to gain. Now you have our interest, please keep us informed as to what the deal is and what you decide to do. Like Schells said, she would sit on broken glass if it worked. Couldn't say it better!!!!

OK, here is my two-bits on this subject. I use a fuzzy foot vibrating pillow when "The Trolls" ( my name for the ugly, painful cramping, crawly, sensations I get as my meds wear off) start giving me their nasty treatment. The bottoms of my feet suffer PD symptoms of sharp, hot, needles-n-pins sensations, and this too is numbed quite a bit when I use the foot vibrator pillow. It does truly take the edge off the pains I get, but it doesn't last more than 45 min. for me. It is time well-spent, as ANYTHING that helps me escape some of these PD symptoms is a great relief.

OMG how strange. I bought a vibration machine a couple of weeks ago, not that l was informed about anything at all. I saw the machine, thought wow that might make me feel good.

And yes it does, when l use it. I wish the feeling would last all day

I saw this add on telivision , that uses stem cells for Parkinsons not the bab ies stem cells . but your own. irt c osts $11, 000 an d takes about 3 days. I was wondering if any one has heard about it or knows anyone who has had it done?

Rosie1926, be careful when you are offered relief or cures from pd using stem cell research, Stem cell research l believe is the absolute answer, but at this stage in the research it is still to early.

Careful, careful with paying anyone large amounts of money .

They do stem cell injections in countries like China and India, where it is not regulated
