Parkinson's disease is a movement disorder often characterized by muscle rigidity, tremor, a slowing of physical movement, and in extreme cases, a loss of physical movement. Oh how awful that sounds. NO you cannot just think yourself into enduring an entire day of that kind of noise. There is no amount of PMA that is going to fix that. You MUST think ahead next time and say to them:: There was some sort of mix up. I am not well. This can only
be done on a day when I am not at home. Remember to tell people you are not well. Tell them calmly but demand your needs be met.
We've been waiting for a bonus to be paid and our house pmt. was late partly due to my out of pocket cost of over 550.00 for the "patch"
A sweet young man named Ben called and was so patient that I moved the money around enough to cover it and avoid a 27.15 late fee so I spoke with his supervisor and told her how kind he is and to please put a a note in his file. I also told her how ugly the girl and her mgr. were the last and ONLY other time we have been late.
Never hesitate to say I'm NOT WELL or I have health issues. Then speak directly to what you need with no apologies and no discussion.
Barbell you will get sicker quicker in a toxic marriage--he will not change. Sent with love !
It never dawned on me to explain to these guys that I was not feel - maybe they would have called to schedule a time to come back but I don't know if any other day would be any better. I just don't think I have the patience or tolerance for things that cause chaos anymore. I used to be able to handle things a lot better but even the littlest things tend to get me worked up. I think it's the pain medication I'm on - I didn't see anywhere that Tramadol can cause an increase in anxiety or cause agitation but something is triggering it. I try so hard to have a good day, like today, but these same house washing guys came back ringing the doorbell, which got the dog all worked up again, saying that my husband had wanted them to look at doing something to the sunroom roof. I didn't know anything about it so I tried to call my husband and he was on a conference call so these guys were planning on sitting in my driveway until I was able to get ahold of my husband. I finally went out there and told them that I would just have my husband call them later when I was able to reach him. I left it at that and came back in the house and got on the computer - a few minutes later the doorbell rang again and one of the guys requested a cup with ice so he could drink his juice. I didn't have any disposable cups so I gave him a plastic cup and they still sat out there for an additional 15 minutes then finally left - with my cup mind you......lol. I can laugh at it now because I have calmed down but it's just something I am going to have to learn to deal with because there is work that needs to be done around the house. But I will tell them that I am not feeling well so please don't ring the doorbell unless absolutely necessary.
Barbell - I could not live in a relationship where my spouse throws temper tantrums and yells and swears all the time. That would put me over the edge for sure. I am sorry that you are having to deal with someone like that, especially when it's your spouse. He is supposed to be your number one supporter during your struggles with PD. I agree with WeWillWin in feeing that you will not get any relief from PD when you are having to be in a toxic marriage. I can't even begin to imagine what a day in your shoes is like. It's got to be a horrible. It's hard enough having to deal with PD but then to add the feeling of being trapped. I worry now about your safety and well being so make sure you keep me posted on how you are doing.
