I am in Australia, so l am not sure about buying drugs from USA - Canada, how could that be illegal?
I reached a plateau of time where nothing changed very much for which I'm very grateful.... but I take nothing in life for granted as I mentioned to my Neuro back in Feb this year, and I prefer to be told as it is..and he told me that even though things have been slow in progressing so far, it could quite easily start to progress faster, he said it with such sincerity... afterall he sees people like me most days.
Grab all in life what's good & enjoyable despite what PD throws at you, you may have some tough times ahead, hopefully not but always be prepared. I vowed to myself from day 1 that I would fight this darn awful illness with all I have and never surrender.
I agree 100% with (6) Humour & laughter go a long, long way in coping with PD no doubt about that.
(3 & 4) I don't take anything other than what I'm supposed to meds-wise.
(5) You hit the jackpot.... you learn more and more about yourself as time passess... know your limits & conserve energy...
I'm sorry that I answered your queries all jumbled up CM, but I got there in the end...lol.
Wishing you well...
Yours Sincerely Dirky !!;O))x
I dont think humor is the best medicine but is good. I was in the dentist chair for my first ever root canal and my jaw started termoring I thought it was hilarious and started laughing. My dentist said it was his first root canal patient that laughed out loud in the chair. I thought it was funny that my jaw started tremoring after not tremoring for such a long time when I was having a root canal.
Im fearful because I think I am progressing fast but then too I have to remember there is medicine to help me when I cannot take the stiffness any longer.
And yes it is against the law to buy medications from other countries consumer protection laws plus the states do not get a sales tax. Everyone thinks we are the home of the free. In NJ & NY we now have cameras at almost every red light to take a picture of our license plates if we run a red lights so they can send us a ticket in the mail. Yes running a red light is dangerous but come on Big Brother.
I find that some foods make me worse for a short time so I try to stay clear of these. One of these is the food additive in chinese food MSG, sends me right off. Another one is Strawberry ice cream . But you will work them out along the way. Here in Australia we parkies are very fortunate that we get subsidized meds and only pay $5.60 for each pescription. That is why australia is called the Lucky Country I think. So glad I live here and not in a third world country where I couldn't afford the neccesary drugs to keep me going
For me, exercise, nutrition and prayer help enormously. Good luck.
I stopped taking my daily allergy pills and my tremors or definitely milder so far. So it looks like I get to choose shaking or sinus headaches. And the learning process marches on.
