Thursday is Justice Day

Hi,


Well, the divorce is behind us and he severed his parental rights.  Now this Thursday, he has agreed to plead guilty and go to prison for 8 years!!!!!


Friday, my daughter and I are going on a vacation to celebrate!!!!!  Woo!!  Hoo!!


Time to move on with our lives and not dwell on this anymore.

Thanks for a story of justice served. I don't know if congratulations are in order -- your daughter has paid a horrible price for this moment -- but you certainly deserve a chance to breathe freely at last. A vacation sounds like a great opportunity to try that out!

I know what you mean...as a Christian I do not believe in divorce. But breaking the marriage covenant is grounds for Biblical divorce. My sister said the same thing when the divorce was finalized...Should I say congratulations or not?
We can celebrate that the system worked correctly in this case and she has justice. Knowing that he is going to pay for his crime has made a world of difference in her already. I am seeing glimpses of my daughter back again and not just a wounded victim.

That is such a relief! This gives me hope. I am in the process now-- daughter's abuser was charged with several felonies (1st and 2nd degree CSC). I pray for the same outcome. Take care and enjoy your vacation!!

I just went through this process and he got 25 years in prison with no parole. I know it seems like you can breath but be prepared as it will creep up on you when you least expect it. Just take it one day at a time. Congrats on getting some justice. My prayers are with you and your daughter.

    My 5 year old came forward on March 5th That another child in his class was reaching into his pants under his underwear and touching his penis each time he was in this class. The offending child and him sat alone at the table, clearly out of sight. He was trapped because he was afraid of disrupting class and afraid of the other kids, laughing if they knew what happened.
