This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
My husband molested our daughters years ago. They are grown, he swears he's changed. That is not my issue today. The problem is my son who knows about the abuse but has twice suggested his kids, 2 boys and a girl, have sleepovers or a campout at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I think he is trying to convince me his dad has changed. I am appalled he would even think about chancing this with his daughter. She will be six years old this summer. I'm still processing the abuse myself and have been for the past 21 months since our disclosure. I understand him wanting to believe things are different, I would like to believe that too, but that is far from the wise thing to do. I don't even know where I am going in this marriage... We sleep in seperate bedrooms and all our children are grown. Is there a book or something I can give my son that will educate him on the dangers of trusting a former child molester. I really can't believe he is this naive. :(
I am growing stronger and wiser, even if slowly. Thank you for all of your help, encouragement, and prayers. I have a lot of work to do.
