...because it really does give insight...but watch it again in 6 months, than a year from now...because on your healing journey, it will take time to not scoff and scream at the woman sharing this information.  But it's true!  Most kids that sexually offend, even the teenagers, are NOT pedophiles and can be rehabilitated!  I should know...I have kids/teens that were both victimized by other kids/teens and each other.  ALL my kids are in a healthy relationship with each other...now.  It takes time, patience, perseverance and hope to make it happen!  Not to mention therapy, repentance and a great safety plan!  But it can be done.  Don't be discouraged, just take one day at a time.


Now as for the other kids who victimised my kids...I have forgiven some of them because I saw they truly were sorry and unfortunately had been abused themselves, including by their parents.  But the one who refuses to admit they even did anything wrong AND lie continually about it?  They scare me...they are now an adult.  THAT is your litmus test.  Is their attitude humble?  Are they willing to accept whatever consequences for their behavior?  Do they let you put the victim 1st in the healing process?  Will they follow the safety plan?  Do they tell the truth? If the answer is yes, then there is hope.



Life can get better...trust me, after 3 years, we are a healthy family unit....the PTSD, anxiety & depression due to the betrayed and pain caused by the other family isn't gone, but we can all support each other now!

Another issue, Warrior: for some reason I cannot open new posts in this site. It is a problem I have been having since DS changed their platform… I would be so interested to share our experience of having children our age (mine are 5 and 7, your baby is 6) talk about taking their lives, wishing to die, etc. that is really worrying me….

hi Warrior mom , my son was sexually abused , raped by my ex. While I was away having surgery for cancer and my mom was to watch my son. she let him go see a puppy. Can you believe that, I left because of abuse and she never believed me. Any way My son was three , he went through some of the same stages and we were told by a counselor to get a teddy bear a ugly one and get sewing pin let your son know what was done to him was wrong and he can fight back by hurting the bear. it helps to get rid of anger and hurt, it worked for my son hope it works for you. yes the systems suck , my ex got sexual misconduct and he never got any jail term or nothing just probation and no record. Thanks for sharing that idea! It's a good one!

In our case, due to the weaponry used on my children, including needles, that would be another trigger. I actually originally found my daughter, hiding in her dark closet, poking her special stuffed animal WITH a needle before I knew of the weaponry! So it definately helps relieve sokme of that pent up anger!
