Two weeks today my life came crashing to the ground. My 27 year old daughter told me my husband of 21 years (her step dad) had sexually abused her between 13 and 15. She has spent the last 6 months going through therapy because she knew one day she would have to tell me. I've sat with my baby girl in my arms while she sobbed and told me of the memories she has of what happened to her. And before anyone says anything I believe her. What is killing me is my husband totally denies it and is very convincing. We also have a son who my husband and myself live with. I am pull living with him and am currently living two different lives. I spend few days with her then manage to return home to my son and husband. I'm scared of walking away I'm scared of loosing my home, husband, son if he believes his sister. I'm so scared to let my heart realise this is true. Please please if anyone else understands where I am please tell me. I've read so much about the survivors of abuse and I totally feel guilty even being here. Please tell me honestly what you think.
