Surgery coming and I'm not telling the EC

I am about to have an early stage minor cancer surgery and I don't want my ED (estranged daughters) to know. The kind of surgery they put you to sleep for and remove a part and then fix it back up. Send it to be biopsied and I hope it stays at the stage where I don't have to have radiation or chemo! So I have had to minimize it to my son who has a relationship with us. He appears to be avoiding his sisters and his dad at this point so maybe he would not text them all. Months ago, he wanted us to try by attempting to arrange a visit with one of the EDs but I said no, I'd rather allow them to chose to make contact at this point. I said no when I meant no which I am glad about. I don't want to tell them because they have gone no contact and I decided I would do the same. Why keep reaching out to people who disdain me? Why allow them to know and not contact me which feels like another knife in the back? I want out of the hope stuff, hoping they will change. So that is my big thing, the hiding we parents end up doing. Can't be our normally honest or open selves. That is all for today.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
i figure that if the estrangement is meant to end, it will end at godspeed. healing hopes for all. no exceptions.
good luck with your surgery. easy does it.
