This community is designed as an open forum where the parents and guardians of children with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) can give and receive support, as well as discuss ideas, techniques, concerns, surprises, and challenges they may face with their children.
Jacobs School nurse called my husband complaing that I am to easy on him and that is the reason for his acting out.She and him had 20 min conversation on our sons situation which is fine. What bothers me is that the school nurse wants us to give premission for her to call jacobs and get all the ins and outs on his meds. I just want to add that I have told her what he is taking. Am I worng to feel this is an invasion of our privercy. soory spelled worng

I feel if you have given them a list of med's, there is no reason for them to call and find out anything else. I also personally feel it was kinda ridiculous that she would blame this on your parenting. I get so mad when I am faced with that. I have an older child without ADD/ADHD and anxiety and she behaves just fine! Hang in there!

This is ridiculous and and invasion of your privacy. The schools cannot tell you how or if to medicate your child. It's not the school nurse's call on what to give your son, it's his doctor's. And if she was any kind of nurse she would know that the parents do not cause ADHD.

no, you are not wrong, and i am a strict mom. that is your business, unless they have to administer them, there is no reason for them to know anything. tell her its not her consern.
