My brother wet the bed until he hit puberty, around age 14. I also had a cousin who was the same. I am not for sure what it was that caused the bed wetting, and my parents tried everything (this was in the 80's) but eventually they just put a plastic cover on his bed, and gave him 2 sleeping bags... one he could wash the next morning (put it in the washing machine before he went to school) then he had another one for the next night. He did this until he hit puberty and then it just stopped. Something about a gland not developing right. He only had one friend who knew, and when he stayed the night at that friends house he would wear a big kid pull up. IHim wetting the bed was never something he could control and my parents tried everything to see what was wrong with him. Talk to your Pediatrician... I think they have medication now, but I don't know how it works. My parents eventually just did the sleeping bag thing, and once we were all NOT focused on it, and learned to live with it, my brother was much happier.

My son was 14 before he finally could stay dry at night. It is pretty common with ADHD.

I didn't find anything that helped, including the meds, but eventually he was able to control it. I think it had to do with his sleep cycles. Sorry I don't have more help for you.

hello my son also wets the bed sometimes we where given a tablet called Desmopressin buddy has 3 under his tongue its good really good here in the uk we got ours from our docter,try it its good let me know how u get on ok take care and hopfully it will work buddys not allowed drinks after 6pm big hugssssssssssssss

My 7 yrold girl has never had a dry night. My strategy is to accept it, as no one has had any "cures" (we tried the bed alarm, but was too disruptive for our sleep). My understanding of the meds are that they are a temporary treatment. I put her in pull-ups, and we say, some day her body will be ready to be dry all night.

I heard Sarah Silverman, that comedian woman, say she wet the bed till she was maybe 15. That made me feel like we will probably be ok! :)

My granddaughter at 7 still wets the bed a lot of nights. She will be dry for a few weeks and then wets the bed for a few weeks. Almost like some sort of cycle. Her doctor said not to focus on it and deal with pullups and pads on the bed. This too shall pass.

Both of my boys 7 & 10 have adhd and the 10 yo also autistic. They both are heavy bed wetter. Do any of you use pull ups or diapers at night? We are using goodnites currently but they seem to leak really bad. Just looking for any other ideas or how any of you are handling it.

My son is 6 and we finally have it down to occasional accidents. I cut off liquids are a certain hour and changing his diet helped a ton also I've learned its connected to emotions so he now goes to bed watching positive movies right now he Is hooked on RANGO and Small Foot. Hope this helps

My son was just diagnosed with ADD a few weeks ago and he struggled with bed wetting up until 2 years ago, he is 12 now. This makes sense now. I always tried to be understanding but it can be frustrating.
