I don't know. You defnitely should have that checked out. It could be minor break in a blood vessel or something else, but definitely needs to be checked out. My son never had this problem while on Adderall.

How is his diet? Make sure he is drinking lots of water and getting enough fiber. In the meantime, use a stool softener. If it is a little bit of red blood, it is irritation from straining, most likely. Try that and if still worried, talk to the doctor about it.

My two youngest hav had problems with constipation since they we're little, yet my oldest or myself never hav that problem. Dr has given them a liquid form stool softener in the past, but now we use pedia-lax gummies. They hav worked very well. Been using them for about two months n hav not had hard stool in a long time. Definitely push the water. My 7 yr old has always been a great water drinker, but with all the meds I push it even more. Either way, I would make your childs pediatrician aware.

Some use Natural Calm (magnesium powder) at night to help children sleep. Magnesium also helps to loosen stools. You might try that. Others here added some really great ideas as well: water and fiber are a big help especially while on medications. Hang in there, but do get that checked out. I'm betting its probably from straining, but its worth looking into.

My son has some serious tummy issues, ADHD plus anxiety cause him more problems than he needs. Make sure you guyr is getting the fibre he needs, medications can affect different people in different ways.
