Wow. The book is incredible. It was an eye opener. Every Parent should read it.

I just got the book from the library. Wish I had this book twenty years ago.
Every page, every sentence is right on.... Unfortunately, I did all the things the author says not to do.

He is so right when he says that the child that we knew is not longer there.

Thanks for the advice as this morning, I truly felt my hungover son is going to kill me with his lifestyle. Had it not been for his former girlfriend, I wouldn't have known what all had happened during the night. Maybe it would've been better had I not known.

I did tell her that as long as she keeps bailing him out when he can't get to to his car and it's 4am due to him being drunk and he can't find his friends, to let him rot in the alley where he was going that he'd never stop the drinking. She's only 18 and disagreed so I told her to just watch. He knew better than to call me.

I sooo need this book.

Yes, my son has learned not to call me. Unfortunately, my husband jumps when our son calls.
Then when he goes to meet him and he's not there, my husband drives around attempting to find him.
A sorry state of affairs.
