Anyway, I'm so sorry to hear about the pain and hurt you and your daughter are going thru, my heart aches for you both. It's a long road you have in front of you. It will get better though. Try to keep your expectations small and take baby steps. Tell your daughter you are so proud of her for telling, that you love her and believe her, that it's in no way her fault, and you will be there for her whenever she needs you. This group doesn't usually get a lot of posts, but the one below does if you'd like to post there.

I hope your daughter can feel that she needs to open up to you soon, but she does need to take baby steps too and do this as she feels safe and ready. I hope she's getting counseling, and you may want to do that too to help you thru this. It helps so much. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you for your message im getting close to get my girl home which is great but the criminal proccedings are about to start and all the emotions im feeling is unreal. I.ve lost a stone in weight in a month im losing sleep im taking baby steps as my daughter is im so in awe of her strength as she has been so brave through all this so far i always tell her i love her and cuddle her to make her feel safe but there is no one for me to cuddle me or to make me feel hey you doing a grand job keep strong and take some of my strength. Its hard and its going to get harder but i will get through it. Victim support let us both down so im doing this on my own i cant find any support groups near where i live or any and my family are like ostrich's burying their heads. once again thank you. x
