He goes to bed at 7:15PM and wake up around 4AM to drink a 6OZ bottle and go back to sleep until 6AM.
His Ped told me to stop feeding him at night and ignore him when he wakes up at 4AM. But, I cannot do that.first, I do not let him cry and second I am already awake so why not giving him what he wants and we can both go back to sleep.
And, God knows thta I need my sleep my LO is a well balanced little guy, he is very easy and except this, he is not demanding at all.
I dont know, maybe I am doing something wrong on this but, for now, it works for us.
you rountine seems great, she gets her teeth brushed before and I see nothing wrong with that. my son get a sippy cup before bed usually around 7-7:15 and when its bed time at 8 or a hair before, we take it away and brush his teeth. and bed time has his baby he puts in his mouth. will worry about that later, no rush. he is 14 months.
my daughter is 3 and she still gets milk before bed too. its usually after bath the same with my son, then teeth, book bed.
she still suckes on a secruity blanket at night, so not worth breaking it yet. when she stops naps I will break it then.
I have another thing that I'm torn about. My MIL bagged on me until I started her on a bedtime snack. So an hour before bed she would get something, oatmeal, or fruit or yogurt, and then half hour after she would get the bottle. My MIL swore up, down and sideways that this would cut out the night time demand. It didn't. And I was worried about childhood obesity giving her that much to eat right before bed, so I cut out that snack and there was no change from with it to with out it. But should I maybe put it back in? Would this maybe help?
I practiced the CIO method with naps awhile ago and it worked and now she naps fine. But in the middle of the night, when my SO has to be at work at 7am, it's just not doable....so I always end up giving her the bottle.
But I will say that once their 1 year molars start coming in they usually wake again here and there. Oh well they r only babies once!! Than it's on to bigger problems.......lol
