My daughter actually really likes to take medicine. She asks for it even when she doesn't need it. She is usually the one to remind me about her vitamin in the AM. And I suppose perhaps she likes the taste (although I dunno, I think all that liquid crap tastes horrible!) but she actually really likes to suck on the dropper/syringe thingy. So I load up the dropper, she opens her mouth, I squirt it in and then let her walk around sucking on it for a while. Eventually she loses interest and gives it back and I wash it before I put it back in the bottle.
The other thing is that we call it "magic" -- i.e. magic belly is Mylicon, magic nose is that baby saline mist stuff (which she also likes to have done) and magic medicine is tylenol and motrin. We tell her, "this is magic and it will make you feel better," and make it a big positive thing. It could be that she senses that you are tense about it and that makes her tense.
If anyone has a great way I would like to know too.
