So I'm always unsure with fevers. My daughter doesn't get them often. But today I was so confused and I really wasn't sure at what point I should of been really concerned instead of just mother concerened, if that makes sense.

Marlow was slightly hot last night, but she went to bed fine. This morning I let her sleep in, then finally went to get her at 1030am and she wasn't having any part of waking up, and she was hot to touch. So I let her sleep. She slept until noon. She got up and had a whopping three grapes for lunch. I took her temp and it was 103.9, I have an ear thermometer.

We had a room temperature bath, and I gave her a dose of tylenol. I took her temp again two hours after the first time and it was at 101.9. Then she got off my lap and played for a bit, at about 2pm she crawled back up and slept for another two hours. Woke up, ate two crackers, had a drink, slept again until almost 6pm.

I couldn't get her to eat any supper and her temperature was back up to 102.9. Joey went out to get more tylenol since we had run out, the store was out of infant stuff, but by weight it was okay for Mar to take the next stuff up. So we gave her some of that.

She went down to 100.9 and was playing, she had half a banana, she ate some chocolate cake(go figure, she's acting better and dad breaks out the treats! argh).

So I went out for a quick coffee with a pal and when I got home at 930pm, I was only gone a little over an hour, she was back up to 103.7.

I know that they say 24 hours with a steady fever before you get concerned and take her to the doctor. But I'm concerned and seriously considering braving walk-in tomorrow.

Should I be worried? Is that normal? She may be teething, she is 20 months and only has 12 teeth, but she has NEVER had a fever teething before. But we have also had snow, then +20C weather, then snow. I should mention her nose is running but it's pretty much clear, and she coughs, but only about once every few hours and it sounds raspy.
