Maybe I should post this as a reply to that bruise / spanking debacle that's going on yonder.
Nah...I done learned my lesson not to pour gasoline (in the form of humor!) on any of these fires.

So...my little one has discovers the joy of climbing. She's seemingly overnight turned herself into a monkey....with balance issues. Walking only 4 months will do that to you, I imagine.
I nearly had a heat attack when I looked over at her in the living room when I was cleaning up in the kitchen and she was up on top of her toy chest and throwing my books off of the book shelf (Interested in good literature, of course.)
Is there such thing as a child who just kind of sits there? Where do I get one of those? Both of my kids are going to give me an aneurysm from stress, I say!
What was it back in the '80s...the commercial for Northern toilet paper where the kids wrapped themselves up in it when they were off to do some dangerous activity?
I think that's what I am inclined to do. I'm toilet papering the whole house and every living thing (non too, just to be extra cautious...)
Who wants to place bets on how long it's going to take before we take a fun trip to the ER?

Sophie does the same stuff. She is my little daredevil (notice I didn't call her a demon this time?) and has her share of bruises and scrapes to prove it.
When I came home after my appendectomy last year, I had weight restrictions. I couldn't life anything over 10 pounds and I think she sensed this. DH was in the shower so she took that as her cue to climb the bookshelf (7' tall) and sit on the 4th shelf...I picked her up, she laughed and I needed a pain pill.
Although I did have to call the Dr when he stepped on a bee... in the house, mind you! Didn't help that I had heard the story many times about my DH getting stung by a bee at almost the same age, his hand swelling up, and his mom having to take him and his baby brother (only a few months old) to the hospital on a bike. They only had one car at the time.
