Maybe he's too young? I know a lot of 3 and 4 year olds still going through potty training. I did potty timing with my daughter since she was 6 months old. She was peeing in the potty by 18 months but never on demand. She is now 3 and potty trained for the most part, but we are still working on overnight training and pooping.

It's a slow process for some, while others take to it right away. Every child is different. If the pressure is on, you may end up with negative results. Just relax, give it time, and let him set the pace. What you can do, however, is do anything within your power to make potty training a fun and pleasant experience. Throw some fruit loops in there and make a game of it.

Wyatt I totally know how you feel. My twins are just like this. They have good periods where they just say I n need to go and they do it but it only lasts a day or 2 at most and then another week or so before another good stretch. I know it will eventually happen but it just seems so hopeless at times. Bribery and punishment are only temporary incentives and sometimes they love all the praises and othertimes they could care less.... I hope that you me and you both that our little ones finally take the leap and get trained soon.

Marlow is 27 months, and she does really really well. But she sort of, um, stepped, into the toilet while trying to climb on and now she will not go unless someone lifts her on to the toilet. We bought stools, we showed her an easier way...but if there isn't any one to put her on the toilet, she will pee in her pants. I understand she is scared now, but I hope she gets unscared soon! lol
