So my daughter spent the day with my sister, her fiancee, and her son today. When I went to get her she had this rash on her belly, it was red and splotchy and bumpy at the same time. I asked my sister what they had done all day and they had done nothing new and she had eaten nothing she hasn't eaten before.
As the evening went on I noticed it was starting on her hands and her forearms as well. She didn't itch, she didn't cry when I touched it, and other then the fit she pitched when I tried to get her PJs on(that's no unusual, happens at least three times a week) she showed no discomfort.
It wasn't on her legs or her bum. Her cheeks and chin have been flaming red from teething for weeks now so if it was on her cheeks I wouldn't of been able to tell.
Now, it's FREEZING here, I mean, like, ski pants just to go outside. What I'm wondering is A) what could of caused the rash? and B) if she's showing no signs of discomfort should I rush her to the doctor or just play it out?
Also, she has a patch right above her diaper on her side, and it is getting redder and redder, but that also shows no signs of discomfort. Her diapers have not changed nor are the too small or too tight.
And the patch on her side has been there for awhile, but the rash everywhere else started today. I have been putting grape seed oil in her bath water, but for quite a few days now.

There is no breathing trouble this time and the rash is centralized to basically where her shirt was. But we aren't using any new detergents or anything.
Perhaps this site will help identify it.
Em has eczema and the same thing happens to her. She has a long list of allergies, including white-haired cats. Using too much soap in with the laundry can make her break out for weeks.
Aveeno has some great products and can be bought at any pharmacy or walmart.
I have tried to use Aveeno, but she cries when I put it on. But the grape seed oil is helping the dry patches that were there before and it should replace the moisturizers that seem to irritate her so much.
