Sorry, I didn't want to make two threads!
First, Christmas is coming, and with it, the Christmas tree. Dum dee duuuummmm. How do you guys go about a tree full of lights and sparkly's with a kidlet running amok? I have already decided absolutley no breakable ornaments will go on the tree, but I figured only decorating the top half may be a bit extreme! :) Any suggestions? Outside of investing in a mini fence to put around it?
Second, my mother was watching my daughter and she has a rabbit. Tamest critter ever. So friendly, Marlow has pet it and held it with no issues. But the other day Mar stuck her finger in the cage and got bit. By the time my mum got the bleeding stopped and called me it was too late for stitches or anything. The rabbit bit the tip of her finger, gouging it and biting through her nail about halfway down her nail. For the first two days she wouldn't let me wash that hand with a cloth so we used running water. Now the scab keeps coming off and she is getting food in it and dirt and what not. My question pertains to bandaids. I cannot get a bandaid to stick to her itty bitty finger! And, if I even have moderate success she rips it off and brings it to me. I'm worried about infection, there will already be a scar! Has anyone used liquid bandaids on their LO's? Or anything else?

For the rabbit and Band Aid, I would call a pediatrician and see what they recommend. You may have to put gauze on the finger and wrap it around the hand. Or there may be some product that goes on finger like a mitten would but just on one finger. A pedi should know.
I haven't used liquid bandaid but that seems to be the best option here.
We have a gate that we will most likely put around the tree this year. I really dont want to bc I think its going to look ugly...but I guess we will see how much of a pain it is to constantly say "no, all done, stop, try this, thats enough now, please stop..." ETC ETC ETC!!! lol
I don't have a pedi to call, there are only about 5 peds for my city of 50 000. So it's hard knocks when it comes to that. I did go talk to the family doc and he told me to just keep an eye on it and don't cover it so it can breath. So, I guess that's the thing I gotta do!
I wouldnt do liquid bandaid b/c like roxiesmama sd it burns bad! I would do like you said you were going to, just keep an eye on it and after she plays or eats wash her hands with soap and water. Maybe when shes asleep for a nap or for the night put antibiotic ointment on it then make sure you wash her hand after she wakes up.
