Hi everyone,

My son is currently writing his personal statement for his university application, but hes' struggling over exactley what to include. He also needs some writing tips, as English has never been a strength of his!

Can anyone suggest any reliable sources of help or information on writing a UCAS personal statement?

Also, he can probably enlist the help of his his high-school counselor and/or English teacher.

Also, there are tutors who can help with this as well. You should check the yellow pages or even Craigs list!

two great books: the easiest to read: FISKE guide to getting into the right college. the other, WHat Colleges Don't tell You (and other paretns don't want you to know) 272 Secrets for getting your kid into the top schools.
You don't have to be trying to get into a top college for these books to help. THe second breaks the several types of essays there are. It's a great starting point. The first one (Friske) takes you through the application process by hand.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
