I was pregnant at 18. I told my parents a few weeks after I found out. I was almost done with high school, I hada few weeks left. I assumed they would kick me out but they didnt. They were not thrilled but they let me live there and helped me along the way. Anytime you want to talk, I can tell you more. I know the shoe is on the other foot from my perspective but I can tell you what we did to get through it and how they helped me. My daughter I had at 18 is now 9. She is very smart and has thrived if I do say so myself. She is the joy of my life and knows me better than anyone. It was hard for me to tell my strict parents and not so understanding boyfriend. My boyfriend was older and really was not ready. Not like I was either.

My parents did a wonderful job raising me and I really was a quiet, good kid that got pregnant when she was 18. I was in sports and clubs and babysat and didnt drink or do drugs. It happens. It wasnt meant to hurt my mom or cause pain or anguish.
