Uhhhhhhhh-NO! I would be pissed. I think it would be a good idea to confront that parent. It wasn't their job to do this.

Heck NO it's not okay!! That is a decision for you to make with your own son! It makes me CRAZY when other people parent my child!! I had one of my son's friend's mom catch him and a few other boys smoking pot and she didn't bother to tell me until I called to inform her of a similar situation...AAARRGH! I'm a little bitter, so you can take this for what it's worth, but I would definitely talk to this parent about what he/she did and let them know that while they may have felt that they had your son's best interest at heart, you are his mother and, therefore, it is YOUR job, NOT theirs, to decide how to handle situations that come up with your son!

I'd be both pissed and thankful at the same time.

I think she did understand. I think maybe you are too upset to see it though. She said she was sorry and offered up and explanation as to why she did it. What more SHOULD she have said?

I think the response from her was appropriate and I'm willing to bet she won't do it again. Just be sure you have open lines of communication with your son.

I think it's ok. I'm 17, and I don't feel like just because I can get protection doesn't mean I will use it. It's better to have it and not need it or want it or use it, than to get tied up in the heat of the moment and do something you regret that could end up with dire consequences. Having protection doesn't mean everyone is suddenly going to need protecting. :) Just my two cents.
