Paranoia Support Group
Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. It is often associated with psychotic illnesses, sometimes schizophrenia, although attenuated features may be present in other primarily non-psychotic diagnoses, such as paranoid personality disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.
I am also paranoid that I'll live forever.
why?
no idea and I know in my heart this is so not true.
A few months back, (we have this old door bell system in our house) and its this box that's high up on the wall across from the front door. I was home alone one time I glanced at it and though (I live with my aunt) "is that a megaphone or camera of some sort so that my aunt can keep an eye on me while I'm home alone?"
It effects me to the point where I don't want to leave my partner at night even if it's to use the bathroom as I think they might take me and she won't know and won;t be able to help me... but then I think maybe they DO take me anyway when she's asleep and wipe my mind so I can't remember and my partner is asleep so she'll have no recollection either.
I wanted it to be true deep down inside I've come to understand. I can't really give a scientific answer towards the demon thing. I will say I recently discovered a just God wouldn't fool me into thinking famous people had me on their mind. Through a lot of hard work I also was able to comprehend that my imagination in connection with delusion manipulated my thought process. The manipulation became systematic and like a cycle I automatically thought or conceived a false reality as a dialogue inside my head.
What I'm saying is if the person has a constant thought that something is out to get them not only is it a clone of reality it is often irreversible during the process.
In my case the "demon" was my own mind and it's workings at the time. There is hope and the process hasn't left entirely (the process of having delusional or what I call irrational thoughts now) but the analysis of them has changed. For instance if I think a superstar musician is performing entirely for my ears only, that illogical beginning of a thought shifts to focus on the reality that I am part of the whole audience (which is true) and that I am entitled to understand the art in my own comprehension (which can be seen as faulty or false). So if this makes any sense the understanding goes lie, truth, lie. The whole process also works within arbitrary evidence that I am making the choices and decisions. For example, if I think Eminem raps to torture me, all I have to do is turn the station, channel, or change the song. I am not changing the song to avoid the torture entirely, I am changing the song to prove to myself that I decided to allow the torture (even if delusional) and also there is a possibility that he isn't rapping to torture. That could (and does) lead to more generally healthier thoughts of simply just an artist performing or me investing too much into delusion again.
I hope that helped anyone confused or struggling with their paranoia or delusions.
when the delusions are bad, i think that nuclear weapons are buried everywhere in my town, nearly ready to be be activated or deactivated.
it's very disconcerting. but most of the time I'm thinking about time traveling and shapeshifters and freaky stuff like that, but it all mixes together and scares me a lot. it's horrible. but i cope. and then when i recover life feels temporarily boring and depressing.
