Paranoia Support Group
Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. It is often associated with psychotic illnesses, sometimes schizophrenia, although attenuated features may be present in other primarily non-psychotic diagnoses, such as paranoid personality disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.
I won't make eye contact with strangers. To much of an energy drainer. Safer to not look.
Hold your head up high and look EVERYONE in the eye...in case you need to identify them later!
Looking people in the eye first is a good tactic to let people know you are not a pushover AND keep people away. Always give them a nice smile to let them know you are friendly.
=)
Not to sound unsympathetic with the rest of you. I don't always have the control to look people in the eye and it bothers me. I also feel like I am being watched, criticized, and listened to when I am on the phone and I don't think its all in my imagination. This is a crazy world that we live in and there are some rather sinister & nefarious individuals out there and one should be realistic about this and be aware.
I also have a thing about open windows, I think someone is going to shoot me, or throw a heavy object through the window while I am standing near it and bust me upside the head with it. I always avoid sitting or being near windows...all windows must be closed...
This is basically my biggest struggle. You can't always beat it, sometimes those thoughts are just really overpowering, it's no fun :/
