This is to the women, do you find that 14 days before your period that your symptoms start to escalate and you become anxious and then the day before it is the worst.
I was panic free for quite a while and then all of the sudden it became worse with my hormones.. The doctor says to take my Zoloft at least 50mg but i am chicken and hate taking meds...i do take xanax .25 as needed but i can usually stay at 2 a day.
I am just wondering if anyone else has this and is there a good med combination for the 2 weeks that are hell..so basically i only feel good for half of my life....totally unacceptable for me..i will beat this.

I know exactly how you are feeling! It seems that the hormones trigger my anxiety too. The rest of the month I'm having alot of good days and then around " that time " it all goes to hell! I just try to reassure myself that this higher anxiety is because of pms and try to do something special for myself. Like a pedi or massage. My sis takes Yaz, a birth control pill and it seems to help her alot. I don't take it cause I fear meds. But maybe you should look into it. Hope this helped! : )

I'm 62 years old so I no longer have the monthly mood swings and I don't miss them at all. Yes, when I was menstruating I could count on 7 days of feeling low and depressed and the day my period started the anxiety and depression lifted. Also, if I was going to get sick such as a cold or the flu about 90% of the time it was usually around the 7 day window of feeling miserable.

yeah, i totally believe that the hormaone swings can cause more panic or anxiety symptoms. i get much more irritable and anxious during the couple weeks before my period. i even started tracking on a period calendar app (for your smart phone) when i'd have any panic or symptoms of beginning panic attacks. they almost always fell on days close to ovulation and concentrated the week before my period began. it sucks but i'm not sure there's much to do. my psych said that i could take some additional medication during that time, but i get frustrated that all they ever seem to suggested is meds. one thing i found that helped me was very light yoga. i actually do it on my wii system with the wii fit because it is so easy, convenient and i can do it anytime i want without having to wait for a class or go to a gym. the gentle stretching helps relieve tension and the deep breathing is relaxing too.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
