You need something that will change your mood or feeling of anxiety. For me, its Cold..... It can be very cold air by going outside. Or icy cold water on my face and the back of my neck. It sort of shocks me back to reality. If you can get to a bathroom, try cold water. Wash your face.... Put some on the back of your neck.
I'm glad your parents are understanding and especially your father. They must be good parents I think.

For me i have to fully 100% focus on what iam doing a talk myself through the steps. My medication helps a lot as well.
