For the passed few years i have been feeling strange a lot of the time i feel as though i am half asleep living in a haze. for the passed couple of months i have been feeling dizzy 2 i have been to see the doc who took my blood pressure and said i seemed fine but i dont feel it it has started to become a major issue now because it is happening at work and then i am starting to feel panicked about it which makes it even worse. Also when i am telling the kids off or i feel shortness of breath. i dont know if this is classed as a panic attack or what but it is beginning to get me down cause im always thinking of it and worst of all i am worried about death now and seems to be what i think about a lot lately ...so i dont really know what to do any ideas

Hi hon.. I have the same issues.. since march i have had the same feelings..I have alot of feelings of lightheadness and dizziness. I wake up that way and it lasts all day.. I also am short of breath. I have been to a couple of drs .. I had 2 ct scans of my head thinking something was wrong..because had headaches too. Also had a heart test which was ok.. When this happens of course i get worried and panicky and the symptoms get worse.. So i am told this is panic attacks and anxiety.. have you been to the drs yet?

I went through this I don't know if you felt exactly this way so let me explain I felt like nothing was real like I was living in a dream if that's how it is for you it's something called de realization and it sucks big time Huron what I understand it's the highest state of anxiety where your mind becomes inverted because it can't deal with the outside world your so focused in your head that the world around you seems surreal well I hope I was of some help feel better

i completely understand what you are feeling. I have the same issues as you and even more issues, such as PVC's (which are extra heartbeats), that i feel all the time. I become so panicy that I truely feel like I am having a heart attack. I have been hospitalized twice in 2 weeks for cardiac issues. They say my heart look ok, a few little bumps in the road, but mostly ok. I dont care!! I still feel lousy and it causes more panic than ever before. I take Klonopin for the panics, but I cant take one every minute of the day. I go into I dont care about shit mode, such as cleaning or cooking, because I tell myself I dont have the energy today. I have a great life and a wonderful family and job, but these panic attacks are rediculous to handle at times. so in telling you this--i have good days, great days and some really shitty days-but there is a fix to panic/anxiety just with the help of doctors and you being honest about the symptoms with them. I truely believe you will overcome this, just as I will--together we all can conquer it! if you every want to talk--let me know and I will send you my email address.....be vigilant!!

I used to live in anxiety. I had panic attacks throughout the day - sometimes waking from naps into a panic attack. Now I'm on lots of meds, which have helped, but also talking through stuff has helped. Realizing what traumas in my life have caused the hyper level of anxiety. I suggest you find a good counselor, and, as a friend of mine says "Never, never never give up!" I get mild attacks now, but I've learned to deal with them, and I don't get the "I think I'm going crazy!" thoughts so much anymore. Only in severe emotional upsets do I have to deal with the de-realization. You can get through this!

Oh - one thing that really helped me was realizing that this is a NORMAL response. Whatever is triggering it, you are reacting this way because it's your body's best attempt at self-preservation. You're not going to die and you're not going crazy. As hard as it sounds, things get easier when you can accept the feelings and understand that it will pass.
