Marie, it's never a good idea to just stop your meds. Even if it is a non-addictive type, the odds of you having rebound problems are great. I hope you'll reconsider this. It's just so important to be tapered off, if nothing else so you will have less side effects and less chance of rebound.

Hi, well for me personally was on medication for quite a while and while at first it sopped the massive downward spiral i was on i then kinda flatlined and made little progress. Subsequently my medication (prozac) kept gettin put up...up to 4 tablets daily (80 mg) then even 5 (100mg) which is more then usually recomended. In the end i just stopped takin the lot ovenight and to be honest dont feel that diferent.Feel alot better in myself that im not taking them anymore.

I'm taking xanax right now and am currently getting off of it with help from my doctor. You have to do what you feel is right for you. If you truely feel that you can be ok without your meds. and you're willing to do whatever it takes to do so, then talk to your doctor about coming off your meds slowly.

Im ready to start...
