Symptoms include trembling, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, sweating, nausea, dizziness, hyperventilation, and sensations of choking or smothering. Panic attacks can be very sudden, appear to be unprovoked, and are often...
I too suffered from panic attacks that came back years later. Can't breathe, can't swallow, feeling like I'm going to die. I know what you're you're going through.
I'm still on meds, but trying to wean myself off of them. The big thing is finding out what is causing them. Anxiety, stress, and a bad experience can cause them. Fear feeds them when they happen. You said you wish you could learn to relax. I went through the same thing. Try taking a big deep breath, holding it with eyes closed and think of something fun you like to do or some special moment and letthe air out slowly through pursed lips. Try to ignore the fear and keep doing that for as long as you need.
It may not work the first, second or fifth time. Don't give up! It takes practice. Just keep trying and believe you can overcome it.
Panic attacks are the scariest thing to experience.
I hope I was of a little help. I wish you the best in getting your life back to normal.
Hugs, Bruce
