seldom mentioned here but its very common, many panic attack sufferers cope with only booze, sometimes for many years, I know a few who only quit when their docs said they would soon lose their livers if they didnt stop I tried of course but wasnt helped by it
eventually huge amounts of liquor are needed on difficult days many bottles of usually vodka, with frequent drunk driving as many cant drive while sober

I never self medicated for panic attacks...but I did lose myself a long time ago in booze trying to cover up pain...it didnt work to well...however I only now have a drink upon occasion just because I like the flavor...it is more a savoring thing...I cant stand gettin hammered anymore.

I went undiagnosed for three years with panic attacks and would frequently self medicate. After I went on meds, I still drank a lot. However, I found that while alcohol does work at first, the hangover comes and kicks you in the ass. (But still drank, and it's been almost 10 years!) I am trying to get off booze. I haven't drank in 7 weeks and do feel a difference. It's hard and I love beer, but I realize that life will be better for me without it. Fucking life, eh?

Never. I have had Panic Disorder for 10 years. I have had a combination therapy and prescription Celexa 20 mg. I am doing very well. There were too many alchoholics in my family that had awful things happen when I was very young, so alchohol was much scarier to me than panic disorder. Sorry, I am not judging you, I totally understand the desire to do ANYTHING to make the panic stop!!! God bless and I wish you health!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
