trazodone is a heavily advertised prescription only sleeping pill, not available in some places
it helps some to sleep but not others, it can cause nasty antidepressant type side effects for some, it actually started life as a not very good antidepressasnt and it was soon noted that it sedated some people heavily, so it was reborn as a sleeping pill
people were actually advised to get ready for sleep and to get into bed before taking the first pill as it sedated some almost immediately
so its useful for some but not others, you would need to take 1 to see whether it will help you sleep
docs dont seem to care whether you are already taking other antidepressants

i started taking trazodone about two months ago for sleep. the first night, i took a .5 mg pill, and i ended up sleeping really well. the next night i tried it again, but ended up sleeping for over 16 hours. now i take .25 every night. while it has helped me a bit with my sleep, i dont feel like it is really the best because i cant even remember when was the last time that i slept through the night. as far as the lightheadedness, i never experienced that. i've actually taken it a few times where, i have so much energy, but it is really late and i know i should be sleeping. even then, i've found that i can funtion normally for about 2-3 hours after i take the trazodone before i really start to get drowsy. my doctor prescribed this to me, knowing that i am on zoloft and klonopin, and he was very confident that the drugs would not interact with each other, and so far, it hasn't. I cant say that i am very dependent on trazodone, or that i rely on it to get sleep, as i've gone a few nights without taking it; however, the smaller dosage for me has been slightly helpful, and not at all harmful so far.

zcoup talk to your doctor before you stop the trazadone. You may need to wean off it, otherwise you could have side effects and other problems you don't need. Remember, Harry doesn't have a medical degree--your doctor does.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
