I read your posts and just want to give you all a hug......I've been there and done that way back when I was 30 and in the middle of raising kids, working full time, my dad falling ill, having a miscarriage, it all just came down on me. I was otherwise in great health, but the stresses got the best of me, and I went into full blown attacks. I never knew such a thing could happen. I didn't hesitate to find help, and people came out of the woodwork to offer support and encouragement. I tried Klonopin and it worked fine. I tried to do little things for short times to keep myself involved in what I enjoyed. Driving became hard and I used to love going for drives, so I would just do short drives by myself to a favorite spot. I went to exercise classes, etc.
Of course I read up on other's experiences and decided to try some natural approaches. My body was sensitive to any and all stresses. I was skeptical about natural approaches for myself because I couldn't imagine how it would help me want to get in a car and love driving again. But what I learned is that these approaches can help your body to physically heal which then helps the emotional part. So..........I tried managing my blood sugars and went on a hypoglycemic's diet. Eating every two hours and completely eliminating refined sugars which stimulate high and low fluctuations of blood sugar. I stuck with vegetables, proteins, healthy dairy. I ate every couple of hours and kept food with me at all times and at night so when I woke up, I would have something without having to get up. I had attacks at night, too. Sometimes I would take some orange juice if I started feeling bad. I was skeptical, but stuck with it, and found it helped my body start to heal. I was able to handle stresses better and better. I kept the Klonopin for moral support, but didn't use it. I was so bad that it was hard and impossible to imagine getting better. I am though and am stronger for it. I was able to loosen up on the diet after a couple of years.
Don't give up trying knew and healthy approaches, and don't feel bad if they don't work for you. I would have been happy with whatever would have worked. We are fortunate these days to have so many options. Best wishes,
Lorie

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Thank you for posting, I might give the hypoglycemic diet a try. I know making it back to the gym is really important as well--feeling well enough to go is a task!
