It's been a while since I have been here. I recovered from my daily panic attacks a few years ago. It was with the help of Prozac. And getting out of an abusive relationship. But now I am having them again and I think the trigger this time is a bad reaction to dental anesthesia when getting my wisdom teeth removed. It made my heart race and I ended up in the er with tachycardia. I'm fine. My heart is fine. But since that day the attacks have creeper up on me. I'm scared to be alone. Scared to drive. I work in a hospital and I'm scared there. I also fear choking with my attacks so I end up not eating. And I've lost 20 pounds in a short time frame already. I haven't talked to anyone about these until now on this board. I do have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday and I am thinking about bringing it up to her and maybe trying the Prozac again. I just need some people that understand. :(

Have you tried any alternative treatment or just medication?

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. The same thing is happening to my son right now after about 8 months panic free. Regardless of the trigger, the treatment is the same. I have been helping him to remember his strategies. It has been helpful for him to complete uncomfortable tasks in small, short steps. For example, just walking into a building he is fearful of for just 3 seconds. He feels accomplished and willing to try other things. I hope this helps. We are also going to have his meds checked tomorrow.

I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
