Other than getting comfort from people online, drowning myself in loud music is also helpful, watching tv is slightly helpful, and petting my cat is comforting so music, tv, and pets are other possibilities. The key really is to distract yourself as I have found that focusing on my breathing just makes me more anxious but breathing techniques help some people.
