So as of late Ive had yellow stools as well as lots of yellow D. Im worried this is something sinister since my dad died of pancreatic cancer. Im also very very tired, but I could have mono again.

Can a slow gallbladder cause this yellow loose stool? Going on 2 wks of this so not a virus..

Hi Sesser,

I periodically get yellow diarrehea, usually when I'm having a lot of pain or if I've eaten more than 20 Gms of fat. I don't have a gall bladder and haven't for many years. I have been diagnosed with CP and the diarrehea was worse before I was prescribed pancreatic enzymes.

I have the problem with yellow stools if I consume very much (or really any) fat...I definitely think it is CP related.

So the odd thing is I went off creon to do a fat test-w as bad for 2 days then total normal bowels for 2 wks, then the bad bowels started again. I did just go back on Creon again. Wouldnt going off it have immediate long lasting results or can it take a bit of time to alter the digestion? Does seem like Creon is helping again though so Id say its hard to deny it is my pancreas at this point

I've had yellow stools for a long time. about 3 years before my gallbladder attack. Then after it was removed and during my pancreatitis it is still yellow. The only difference now is they are more normal in consistency.
I kept asking my doctor about it and she continually told me not to worry about the yellow.

since I am awful about forgetting to take the enzymes with a meal, and I usually have only minor trouble, I think it takes a while with no Creon to really cause a big difference, unless you eat really fatty food (probably not).....

Tannersmom, I thought most doctors encouraged poo inspection! It seems like a worrisome sign to me, and it freaked me out when it happened with me. As a veterinary assistant I know how important color, consistency, and smell can be in the stool for pets, and I know it's no different for us! With doctors, I feel like "don't worry about it" can often mean "I don't know what to do about it"

Cowgirl-thats what I figured too, it was just so weird I was totally fine and could eat anything I wanted for 15 days! Im having a hard time totally accepting I have this with all my clear EUS but the fact that creon seemed to help 2 days after makes it almost undeniable that I have this I figure

You are probably right I think. This disease is so funny in its early stages. It is the definition of insideous....doesn't seem to be a problem even if you are looking right at it, but WHAM when the pancreas gets ticked off it causes soo many symptoms!
