The last week, I have developed an issue with undigested food. Whole pieces of food is being passed and what is not whole... is not broken down anymore than what I chew it as.

I realize this could mean several things, but has anyone dealt with this in relation to their pancreatitis?

I must also note, I stupidly stopped taking my creon for the last few weeks.

I have noticed this as well , but the enzymes do definitely help , so keep taking them. Hope things get better for you .

I noticed this before I got on my enzymes, and every once in a while I notice it still. I told my GI when I first went in and he nodded and said it was pretty typical and perscribed me enzymes. It is frusterating isn't it? I know for me, I was forcing myself to eat healthy foods (specifically home made soup and smoothies) despite the pain and nausea causing no appetite, and then it is like why bother??

Hopefully getting back on enzymes makes everything better!! Do you notice more pain when you are off your enzymes? I have heard from other CP sufferers that enzymes don't affect pain. But I have to say, I notice a huge difference in my pain level when I take them to when I don't.

I don't find that the enzymes help my pain , but they do keep my blood electrolytes , etc. level,

I also have problems with this. For me it is mostly high fiber foods. Green leafy veggies are the worst. I have been on enzymes in the past but it didn't help. Fats also tend to pass undigested.

UPDATE: Started back on the creon and the issue resolved.
