My GI called me back finally.
Firstly I told her I've read that CP patients ask questions of 12 doctors and get 12 answers. I wanted to know how many CP paitients she had and if she can help me. She asked me what my question were and didn't really answer the question.
Do I have Chronic Pancreatitis? No, I am recovering from a severe case of Acute Pancreatitis.
Do I need enzymes? Probably not. They are for those with CP
I have this ache in my side but I feel great - She said it could by my ulcer, I said I didn't think so, ulcer pain was sharp and burning and in the middle of my stomach. This is a dull ache under my left rib..doesn't stop me from doing anything. She ordered blood work to see if my enzymes are elevated.
She is a bit concerned about the thrombosis in the vein to my spleen (I think that's the right description) She said it should go away as my pancreas heals. It is still inflamed per the CT scan.
What if it doesn't go away - Blood thinners.
How will we know... - CT scan
Need Endoscopy to see if ulcer gone end of June. I told her I'm concerned about having procedures done ...how many have you done.. she said after about 250 drs stop counting. She did 14 procedures today and 1/2 were endoscopies. She's been doing this for 7 years. (she looks like she's a senior in high school)
She said Dr Binmoeller said my cyst should go away on its own and I don't need a 3rd procedure. I can stop the antibiotics, (I sure hope it goes away....CT scan in the future to see progress.
I know most of you still think I should take the enzymes....I guess I will wait and see what the blood work shows...

My liver numbers were off. She thinks its from the antibiotics that I was on for 2 months. Need to be retested in two weeks as I'm off antibiotic now.
