My Gi doctor forwarded my Ct scan results to Dr Binmoeller in SF who did my 2 EUS/stents. He said he feels I don't need a 3rd procedure and that the fluid left should be absorbed by my body and I can go off the antibiotics. If I get chills or a fever to call right away and start taking the antibiotics again.
I supposed that is good news but why don't I feel good about it? I have been having this ache on my left side just below the ribs. Not sure what it is, but have had it for a few days. It's nothing that I can't deal with.
Today, I transplanted the lemon tree, moved the bird of paradise, cut the grass, weeded, and worked outside for hours, taking breaks often. I feel great.. Planted a rose bush. I have all this energy. So how sick am I really? This makes me think I don't need enzymes, and I am getting my nutrition. wouldn't I be tired and weak if I wasn't ? I used to feel like that, but feeling so much better now.
My sister is a nurse and she said that sometimes when things heal, there can be odd sensations like what I am feeling. That's nice a positive thought but it could also mean a problem.
Dr Binmoeller emailed my GI dr on May 7th and she never got back to me even. She knew I was anxious to hear what the specialist in SF said. She knew I wanted to get of the antibiotics as soon as I good. My fiance said maybe she never got the email and to wait to hear from her to explain why she never called me.
I have SO MANY QUESTIONS.
I want to know what my condition actually is

They say I will be taken off the enzymes after my pancreas heals as much as it can, which can be 6 months or more. After that, if I'm digesting food well I can stop. If not, I keep in taking them.
If I've learned anything about this disease its that the Doctors don't know what going to happen. It's a wait and see approach.

questions is...How does one know when pancreas is healed? I would think once the inflammation is gone, it would be healed, no? Is there a test to tell when pancreas is healed?

And given all of your burning questions I wouldn't hesitate to call your GI or the Doctor you mentioned to have them answer your questions. You are your own best advocate, and Doctor's owe you information on what to expect.
