Chronic Pancreatitis is where the pain and probs go on. well after the onset
I am the same I have complicated medical issues. gosh diverticulitis is very painful also. hope u can get some advice from others here.
Yes, I have problems with digestion, and have to realize enzymes are a necessary part of life, if I want my pancreas not to get worse. It's awful to have no $ and be sick to boot. If they were prescribed, I wouldn't have to pay for them, so I guess I'll have to mention it to my GI. I have absolutely no energy to do anything lately, and wonder if it's from the cp. Yes, the diverticulitis is getting better, and it was awful for a while there. GI issues are eally awful. I realize now how mcuh I took my good health for granted during those early years of my life. Take care...
I believe I would fit the 'under the minimum' category financially- which is awful... but good regarding my chances in getting the medication. Do you take the Creon with every meal?
I just read the ct-scan and ER report again, which says that I have severe atrophy and pancreatic insufficiency--due to my pancreatitis. I lost 15 lbs. since the diverticulitis on June 18th.
I saw my rheumatologist yesterday, and all he's concerned with is injecting my hip with some sort of anti-inflammatory drug. I refused it for now, as I feel it's the very least of my problems. When you have Sjogren's Syndrome as bad as I do, you have hardly NO saliva, very little, and while sleeping the dryness awakens you almost every hour-going through 3 to 4 bottles of water every night, then have to go to the bathroom constantly to boot. My body's exocrine system is shot.
Soo sorry for getting off track here...I really just needed to vent...at the end of my rope lately.
Thanks again for the info...I'll be asking my GI for the Creon asap. I hope it helps with digestion.
Take care...
