For me some of the early signs were lack of Vitamin D and also Vitamin B12. These two vitamins usually come up on blood tests right away. If you have stones that your fighting as well, calcium can be a deficiency as well. In fact, when you are not eating properly, and you cannot absorb nutrients, you can become deficient in many vitamins and minerals. So be very careful of bone loss. This is what I am dealing with right now and it is so severe the sutures in my forehead and the top of my head are separating and you can see it visually with the naked eye on the forehead. This issue warrants a visit to a bone specialist in a far away city within a few days, to see what can be done now if anything. The bones will become brittle and at high risk for fractures. This includes the spinal column, hips, etc.

I had that problem too. For 2 years I could keep nothing down. I went to ask my Doc. about it and he put me on Creon to help me digest my food and it helps you to not get malabsorption. I have now started taking a cheaper version of it put out by the Thorne company I ordered it on Amazon. Its like $36.00 a month instead of $500.00 which is what is cost when your insurance runs out in May. Hope this helps.
Thorne dipan-9 is the name its has125000-amylase,115,000 protease,and Lipase is 18,000 per capsule. That is actually higher than the Creon. Hope this helps. I ended up having 98%of my pancreas removed and the spleen too. It was not cancer it was from having so many attacks.
