Honestly not working out so well and will be getting a gj tube in the near future :o( If I ate a whole veggie of some kind it would probably be really bad. The juice is much better and you can still get all the good vitamins, etc with the juice. In an acute attack definitely going nothing by mouth is the way to go but with the chronic variety of this angry pancreas thing there is pain no matter what and it seems nausea and vomiting no matter what so I just try to keep enough nutrition in to keep me going. It also gives some variety in the diet as that is usually lacking. I found a recipe book for smoothies and juice drinks.
I eat one small chicken strip 2 oz.
1tbls of starch.
1 or 2 tbls of veggies mashed. Its no more or the pain is unbearable.
So day I just drink supplement drinks with the lowest fat and sugar.
I have noticed if I mash or cut my food in tee tiny bites its better to digest... Hope this helps.
Ever try the Cliff bars. I can eat them if its tiny tiny bites....
Food journals are great to help identify things that make the pain worse. For me, chocolate, anything fatty or fried, and caffeine. It's the loss caffeine that sucks the most!
