Hi, I have been suffering for years with my Chronic Pancreatic Chronic Disease. Now, it has become worse. 60 lb weight loss. No energy, and more extreme pain. I saw a specialist at Indiana University. I will not see him again. He basically told me I was going to die.
He ordered an Endoscopic Pain Block with biopsy. Plus, an E.R.C.P.
I am afraid. I've had E.R.C.P. before and was admitted to the hospital with a full blown Pancreatic Attack.
I was also diagnosed with cancer. No one knows where?
Please help me and give me the support to want to live, be happy, and enjoy my grandchildren.
What am I suppose to do in the mean time?

hi my names dave ive been suffering with this over 3 years im sorry to hear your going though all this crap ive had 12 to 15 ercps and they stir up my attacks every time ill pray that they found your cancer in time to save u the only advice i can give u to help u through this is get a good pain management pain ive had 4 major operations 18 hosp stays the only thing the med profession has done 4 me is given me dilaudud theres no cure 4 CP all u can do is stay out of pain feel free to message me anytime u want and good luck to u

I will be praying for you? Who is your doc in IU. I saw dr. Lehman and he is excellent. Great bedside manner and very empathic.

Hopefully the pain block will help and give you some peace. We understand your pain. My support is with you and hopefully there will be more answers for you after the ERCP.

I also go to IUPUI down in Indy. They just did one of those pancreas pain blockers on me last month (celias plexis block). It was my 2nd one. The last one lasted 7 months.
The doc I see has been real good to me and has worked with me and my weird off the wall health issues.
I wonder if they can give you another doctor if you kindly explain to them that you would like one?
The problem with those docs at IU is that they are over whelmed with having to see so many people, so if you ask for another doctor it might take months to get seen again :(
