For the past year and a half I have been told my abdominal pain is my CP, and the evidence is the scar tissue that has formed around the head. I had surgery 25 years ago. Now...I am not so sure. A lot of my symptoms just didn't seem right to me, and of course, I want to stay in denial as well! I had widespread tenderness so bad, I couldn't function. I asked my doc for Librax last week, and it has been a miracle drug. I feel like I have my life back.......on some days at least. I still have the constant pain in the center of my abdomen, and the Librax has helped a bit with that, I have cut my pain meds in half. But now, I am stumped....I don't know if I have IBS and CP, or maybe it's all IBS. I can't convince any internist it's anything other than CP, but my primary care doctor keeps an open mind. So, more trial and error and experimenting to see if I can sort it all out. I would be elated to know it's not my CP, but I don't have my hopes up too much yet. But trying things for IBS isn't a bad idea, even if it is all due to CP, the meds or other things may help.
