All CP has done for me is make me lose weight. I'm 5'9" and 107 lbs. (a walking skeleton). CP is different for everyone...Best of luck.

I am gaining, but it's my own fault. I am gaining because I can't eat almost anything and so I drink things with too many calories to try and feel normal. It's a bad habit and I need to stop. Sometimes diabetes can make you gain and it's almost impossible to lose weight with it. Are you diabetic yet?

That's really interesting because I eat like a bird and am gaining weight. I was shocked when I got on the Dr. scale today and gained 6 lbs. It wasn't because I'm eating that's for sure.

I have gained 5 pounds. I don't have every symptom like vomiting and diarrhea. I always feel hungry and tired so I eat trying to appease my hunger (doesn't work) I'm still hungry even after I eat and eating does not seem to help me get energy, which is why I believe my body is saying "eat".

I take creon with every meal, I seem to be gaining weight! My original weight was 225 I've been down as low as 185 I am now at 198 it's a roller coaster

I believe I'm in the early stage. I gained 5 pounds initially and I was hungry it seemed all the time, but last night I felt like I was coming down with a cold virus. Today is the first time I don't feel like eating and the burning sensation behind my sturnum is getting worse. My pain and discomfort is getting more intense and more often. I don't even have all the symptoms and I'm concerned it will get worse.

Dealing with both pain and weight loss here. I am almost 6' feet and down to 122 lbs. I was on Creon, but it was giving me additional pain. With my docs permission, I've gone off the Creon. I am waiting for insurance to approve Oxandrelone, a steroid to help me gain weight. BTW 64 year old male.

Thanks everyone. I was recently put on Creon and it's helping my pain. I take 24,000 units 2 caps with meals and 1 cap with snacks.
As for the weight gain I know now it's not from the pancreatitis. It's from my psych meds and thyroid. My doc changed the dose of my thyroid med and my weight is going down. Also my psychiatrist is changing my psych meds so hopefully that will help too.
