I ended up leaving half way threw that long boring shift in horrid pain doubling over and straight to the ER where they had to drug me up big time. It was my worse ever CP pain so far I think.
I can handle small amounts of caffein like in a bit of chocolate but that's it. Coffee sets me off too.
Caffeine actually is a well-known irritant to the lining of the stomach. In addition, it irritates the renal system (that's what makes us all run to pee after coffee). Because of all the above, I changed my coffee regimen years ago. I drink 1 (2 on rare occasions) cups of 50/50 coffee (caff/decaf) and no other caffeinated drinks during the day. I make sure my soda is decaffeinated almost all the time as well. Every little bit helps. :) You just have to experiment for your own body and see how you feel--it will tell you, for sure. :)
And as I can see this disease afects in different ways to any of us. Sometimes information that we found online doesn't help so much. It's very good to have sites like this where people can share their own experiences with the rest of us. Once again, thank you for your comments.
Blessings
