I appreciate your reply. I'm going to try to slowly add very lean beef back into my diet again. :)
I actually would never eat at mcdonalds, lol. I do eat very healthy as a genereal rule. (Green smoothies every day, no processed foods, etc.)
The mcdonalds thing was literally out of convenience-- while there, getting burgers for a friends dog (she feeds the pattie to her dog a couple times a week) I just wanted to take a couple bites of beef instead of buying some from the market, not knowing if I could even digest it. I does sound pretty gross, I must admit, lol.
But I'm so glad I didn't end up in the ER, which is what happened last time after eating a very small portion of steak last year.
Thanks again for your reply. :) Take care.
alanebrian, thanks for your reply on the lean ground beef. It sounds like the safest way to start enjoying beef again. Baked fries sound good too. It'll be a real treat to add this to my diet again. I just hope it doesn't trigger any problems.
Btw, my comment about Mcdonalds was pretty harsh. I used to enjoy their burgers, when I was much younger, and not so concerned with healthy eating. But they've added some pretty healthy items to their menu too.
Thanks again for the reply.
