I'm flipping hurting today!!!!
I'm at work with my happy face on.
My 2nd opinion doc pulled me off my meds for a week so she can do her own stool testing (which i cannot do until this weekend). Anyway, you don't have to reply....I just needed to yell, cuss and stamp my feet a bit cause I'm huring like hell, sick as a dog and still have several hours before the clock strikes 10pm and I can be done for the day and get some rest. God knows the hubby won't offer any support this evening so I'll still be cooking his meal. UGH! I just need a good Scream. AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
OUEY! Thanks people...I feel better having a little bi.otch rant.

Awwww .......is there no way you can leave work early? As for your hubby....why isnt he helping you? Does he not see what you go through? I am upset to know that you dont have support from him hon. Maybe ask the dr what you should do about the severe pain you are in.....they need to be aware, if they dont know they will think you are ok. Hugs....hope it subsides soon!

diane - no honey i can't leave early. i wish but it's not going to happen...my current project is already late and construction is due to start in less than a month...if this project isn't transmitted Monday we are looking at a los of $200k per day until we transmit. I'll probably be working this weekend as well. I know that i'd be finished already if i felt ok...it's difficult to be productive when we hurt.
As far as the hubby goes...he's not supportive at all. It's a long story. It's got a lot to do with his culture. He's Persian. I'll fill you in one day.
I left a message with the doc. I did take a pain pill about 20 mins ago so hopefully it will kick in soon and help a little bit...(as we all know, nothing takes the pain totally away)...but someone said on here recently "Remember pain is our friend because when we stop having it we are in trouble". I'm trying to hold on to that quote today.
Big hugs and thanks for the support. Everyone here has been really helpful in giving me the support I so desperately seek.

i was reading this to my wife she says this would be how she would handle this situation 1. come home tell hubby Dr took me off my meds for a test 2. tell hubby he has two choices get a motel for the rest of the week or stay home leave me alone and cook your dinner yourself. 3. going to bed see you next week. i know this doesnt fit in your situation but you just vent away we are listning

yes we are listening, and i agree with txmudpuppy's wife..., but also aware of cultural differences. What would he do if you were hospitalized? Maybe when you are not in so much pain, you can talk to him and say that the pain would warrant you going to the hospital but you would rather be home, and the only way is that you get the rest you need like as if you were in the hospital. I am sorry I am rambling....but if I lived closer I would help you!
